Grand Canyon Day

It's 11:30 pm our time here in Utah. Long awe inspiring day. They say it is beautiful, that does not touch it. We began the day visiting Lake Powell Dam. It is a smaller version of the Hoover Dam but a site to see. Our travels to Grand Canyon would vary from huge rock formations to flat sage filled land. We arrived at the Grand Canyon two hours later. It was almost the same as seeing the ocean for the first time. Took lots of pictures, tried to give you an idea of the depth and beauty hope we were somewhat successful. We hiked to Grand Cape and walked to the extended rock formation, felt like were suspended above the mile high canyon. Hope the pictures tell the story of our day. Preparing for tomorrow, a trip Zion and Bryce Canyons national parks.

  1. Great pictures! It sounds and looks like seeing the grand caynon was a really impactful and joyful experience! So glad you went! Doesn't the sagebrush smell so good?! Seen any wildlife yet?

  2. These pictures are wonderful. Once again, you are really seeing God's country up close. I see several of you now have walking sticks, you must be doing lots of walking thru that gorgeous country. I'm curious, like Lyndsy, have you seen any wildlife? Where are you headed next? Take care and safe travels. Love you, Kathy
