Will begin by saying that today was hot, 102 degrees. Zions uniqueness is that it is viewed from the bottom, or river level. We spent the day looking up at the sheer cliffs of this beautiful place. We took the shuttle to various spots of the park and hiked some of the trails. This park is for young people or older folks in good shape. That rules us out of the more difficult trails.
We have had a request for wildlife that we have seen. Riding the Trail Ridge Road in the Rocky Mountain NP we had an very large ELK run right out in front of us. Many small critters like rabbits, chipmunks, lizards and racoons. Larger animals like deer, free range horses, buffalo and goats, and Becky claims to have seen a condor.
Tired of rocks yet, hope not have one more day of them. Absolutely beautiful through. Tomorrow Bryce Canyon NP.

ReplyDeleteGreat group picture!! I will have to say, you all look like it was a pretty hot day. Hopefully today is a little better for you. These are some more really good and interesting pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou need to get some of those little towels that you put them in water and they stay cool for hours. Used a lot by athletes. You take care, and stay cool. Where to next?
