Our last visit to a national park in WYO. was Devil Tower, It was a fantasist site. Very popular for rock climbers, and sacred area for chosen Indian tribes. In the same area, we came across several fields of prairie dogs. They jumped up every time we whistled. On to Strugis South Dakota. Home of the worlds biggest motorcycle event every August. One half million motorcycle's gather for a week in this very small town. It's wall to wall cycles. Last but not least a stop to Mount Rushmore let me say we were impressed!! It is a site to behold in person. We were awed by it's magnificence. Tomorrow is our last national park. We are going to visit the badlands in South Dakota then on our way home. More tomorrow.

I have never seen Devil's Tower or Mount Rushmore. Your pictures could be postcards! So glad you were able to go to Sturgis. You got a better view than you would have in August! Enjoy your last days on vacation! Safe travels! Love, Beth
ReplyDeleteThose rock climbers make me nervous just seeing them in the pictures! Like you say, Mt Rushmore looks amazing and I'm sure you got all the history on it. I would like to hear more about the prayer cloths on the trees. You all have a safe travel day today and hopefully good weather....a little drier would be nice I'm sure. :). Take care. Love, Kathy
ReplyDeleteThink I'm going to frame the praire dog picture...it makes me so happy! I can't get enough of the praire dogs. I hope you have a lot more pictures of them, and you can show me a praire dog slide show when you get home :). We are ready for you to get home...you've been gone long enough, I think ;)
