Our original plans were to ride the entire length of Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We left Monday taking the back roads through Indiana and northern Kentucky ending day one at Becky's moms in Athens Ohio. Thanks to our wonderful congress and dictator Commander and Chief our plans for this trip had to be altered. Skyline Drive is closed, and all the visitors centers on the Blue Ridge Parkway are as well. Day one included stops in Augusta Kentucky where we visited Rose Mary Cloneys house and the town where George Cloney grew up. It also has a working ferry across the Ohio River. A cool little town.
Day Two Started off from Becky's mothers house. Thanks again mom for the Millers chicken it was delicious. It was a little chilly when we left Tuesday morning but it warmed up nicely. This was a travel day through Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia. The Route 250 through West Virginia, Virginia was an excellent motorcycle road with great scenery.
These images are of a very large water sprinkler and flower pot in the historic section of Stauton Va. which is where we ended Day Two.
