Route 66 part two Day 9

Today started later than most days, 8 am. the temperature was only 73 degrees and it felt  cooler than that. Unfortunately that did not last, by late afternoon we hit 111 degrees. It is a dry heat!! The first stop today was Walnut Canyon National Monument where Indians made their homes in the cliffs. The second stop was in the town of Williams Az. where we had lunch at Twisters an original soda shop on Route 66. Then we stopped at a ice cream soda shop on Route 66 in Seligman Az. From there we made a bee line to the hotel and on the way is when we ran through the heat wave. However we're learning how to manage the heat which in my opinion is not as bad as 95 degrees with 90 humidity that we have back home.
