Route 66 Part Two Day Three

We started the day with our rain suits on as some nasty thunderstorms moved through Springfield. Our first stop on the old road was a small town in Missouri called Halltown. The locals had a bake sale and of course they knew we were coming. The fire dept. shut the road down as we left and it was like the whole town came out to see us off. Next stop was a place we stopped in 2012, however the difference was the neighbor. The pictures will explain. After that we entered Kansas and stopped at the home of tow-mater one of the stars of the movie Cars. Traveled only thirteen miles in Kansas as we are in Miami Oklahoma.

Where we stayed in Springfield

The neighbor had 14 Corvairs

Riding buddies Harris and Connie Bev and Bob
