Welcome to Oregon
We left the spud state this morning with much better weather. The wind finally settled down. We followed a river all the way across Oregon. Started out flat but became more mountainous the farther west into Oregon. It was desolate like you wouldn't believe. We passed a gas station with a sign that said it would be 68 miles before the next gas. There was nothing between the signs. As we finally got close to Bend we could see the snow capped mountains. For over 140 miles we saw very few signs of life, then out of nowhere is Bend and people everywhere. The downtown area of Bend reminded us of the Bardstown road area in Louisville. All the local cool people where there. We had a pizza at a local brewery with some locally brewed beer.
