We started this morning with our winter riding gear on. It was 41 degrees at Monarch pass. Becky had her heated vest, gloves and jacket on. I installed my liner with a neck scarf and winter gloves. It was a cool but beautiful ride up to 11312 feet. We crossed over Monarch pass and stopped in Montrose to decide which way we would go. We chose to go south on the Million Dollar highway and it was so much better than the last time we were here because it was raining then. The views are hard to describe, the mountain is so much closer and bigger than the pictures show. Drop offs from the shoulders are unreal and losing it there would be the last thing you ever did. By the time we stopped in Cortez it was in the 90's. The internet here is very slow and keeps locking up. I was able to upload a few pictures but they are in random order.
