Utah, amazing !!
We are still in Utah on what has turned into one of best days yet. Temps are in the 90's but so much nicer here. We are in a small town called Vernal. Our room is one of the best on this trip and the restaurant we went to was very good. We started at Capital Reef National Park. Here are some pictures.

Late Night in Vegas
Will post pictures later.
We are now settled for the night in Richfield Utah. After considering the weather ahead of us we decided to head north to get out of the heat. They may call it a dry heat, but it still the hottest we've ever been. I didn't like it, Becky didn't, and the Harley didn't like it. I think it almost vapor locked which is a bit concerning when you are out on the road.

It gets really hot out west
We started the day with the temps in the 70's and ended plus 100 degrees. Not a cloud in the sky and an easy ride to Page Az. where we are tonight. Heading for the south rim of the Grand Canyon tomorrow. Still have a slow internet so the pictures are few. Will upload more when we get a good internet connection.

We really like Colorado
We started this morning with our winter riding gear on. It was 41 degrees at Monarch pass. Becky had her heated vest, gloves and jacket on. I installed my liner with a neck scarf and winter gloves. It was a cool but beautiful ride up to 11312 feet. We crossed over Monarch pass and stopped in Montrose to decide which way we would go. We chose to go south on the Million Dollar highway and it was so much better than the last time we were here because it was raining then. The views are hard to describe, the mountain is so much closer and bigger than the pictures show. Drop offs from the shoulders are unreal and losing it there would be the last thing you ever did. By the time we stopped in Cortez it was in the 90's. The internet here is very slow and keeps locking up. I was able to upload a few pictures but they are in random order.

Vacation started
What a great first day of vacation. This low humidity is wonderful. The folks at the Harley shop unload the bike from the truck and offered to let us park the truck on their lot. High Country Harley is one of the best. We had made plans to park the truck at a Church here in Colorado. They too, we very nice and helpful so we parked there. The weather was great so off to the Rocky Mountain National Park we went. We crossed over the Rocky's via Trail Ridge Road then headed south down US 40, another beautiful road in Colorado. We stopped for the night in Salida Colo. We will cross Monarch pass tomorrow and ride down the Million Dollar Highway towards Durango, this time with nice weather. Did we mention that we could get use to this low humidity. Poor internet and slow hope to have more tomorrow.
