Death Valley on a Picture Perfect Day

Today the weather was perfect in Death Valley. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

We arrived at the View a few minutes after sunset, bummer.

Artist delight, 5 miles of one way single lane with beautiful views and colors

What kind of plane did that?

Sea Level sigh from Badwater. In the center top of the photo.

Zoomed in (282 feet below sea level)

There is water here. Not poisonous but very salty. The donkeys would not drink it. Hense the name Badwater

Finally in Death Valley

We finally crossed the California state line and entered Death Valley. We went to Dante's View. It was cold up there so we didn't stay long. Tried to catch a sunset but did not make it in time. We will probably go by there again much earlier in the day. Pictures from today.

Stopped to add clothes it was cold.
