On a motorcycle trip to Corydon Indiana last weekend we went via Lanesville Indiana and pasted a couple of interesting places. Since it is a short ride I decided to go back and get a few pictures of a couple of landmarks that I found interesting. The first landmark is a barn painted as an advertisement for Mail Pouch chewing tobacco. I believe it was one of the last done. It was painted in August 1993. If any one knows of one painted after that I would like to know about it. As a kid growing up in Kentucky I have seen lots of barns painted like this one and a bunch painted advertising Rock City. Haven't seen Rock City yet, guess I'll put that place on my bucket list.
A hundred yards down the road another landmark caught my attention. Stopped and talked a few minutes with a lady working at the Hog's Tavern.

Corvair Convention
Most of our club members arrived today to the convention. All were here by late afternoon. There are two hotels here and both seemed to be filled with Corvair people.
Here are a few pictures. The first four pictures are my Corvairs. I rode my Harley to the Convention in Kalamazoo Mich.

Gingerman Race Track and the First Day of Corvair convention
Started the day with a very short trip to the racetrack. Parked the Harley in the spectator lot and then helped my brother Chris get his car ready to race. Took a short trip back to South Haven at lunch time, a neat little town made for tourist. A few pictures of the day.

I can cross Michigan off of our visited list.
The ride today was a day of two halves, beautiful roads in the Southern part of Indiana to the boring and flat roads north of Indianapolis. Ran into three roads closures and one ramp closure which caused the trip to be at least an hour longer that it needed to be. I finally arrived at the Indiana Dunes visitor center and got my stamp for the passport book. The road beside Lake Michigan reminded me of our trip down the Pacific coast highway last year. Not many pictures taken but here they are:
